Midweek Lenten Services
Wednesday Evenings at 6:15 pm
This year, our theme comes from the "Affirmation of Baptism"
Service, and the promises we make:
to live among God’s faithful people (February 21),
to hear the word of God and share in the Lord’s supper (February 28),
to proclaim the good news of God in Christ through word and deed March 6),
to serve all people, following the example of Jesus (March 13),
and to strive for justice and peace in all the earth (March 20).
Our liturgy is Evening Prayer (ELW), with Sola Gratia, our song leaders.
A light Supper begins at 5:00pm in the Fellowship Hall.
Please Join Us - All are welcome!

Our Redeemer Lutheran Church is a congregation of the La Crosse Area Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), located on the south side of the city of La Crosse, WI. Founded in 1950, Our Redeemer has contributed to the spiritual life of the La Crosse area for nearly 75 years. Pastor Mark Bartusch began his ministry among us in October 2021.
Believing that faith, fellowship, and service within and beyond the congregation are all fundamental parts of life, we gather for worship and faith formation, and open our doors and extend welcoming hands to the wider community. All are welcome.
Sunday Morning Worship is at 9:00AM; a livestream is available on this website. During the seasons of Advent (November-December) and Lent (February-April), there are also special midday and evening worship services. You will find details on this website.
Each week during the school year, at 10:20AM Our Redeemer offers a variety of opportunities for Faith Formation, including an Intergenerational Faith Formation Hour, the First Sunday Forum, and Fifth Sunday Fellowship. There is also a Wednesday Morning Bible Study at 10:30AM, and Women’s Groups that meet at different times during the week (Second Monday at 6:30PM, Second Thursday at 1:30PM, and Third Thursday at 1:30PM). Confirmation for sixth-eighth graders happens Wednesday evenings at 6:15PM.
You are invited to the many Fellowship events through the year, among them a Sunday Morning Coffee Hour (with juice and treats for children), Rally Day (a traditional kickoff in September), Sundaes on a Sunday (May), Quilters, Rummage Sale (August), and Holiday Bazaar (November-December).
We also strive to support the work of Christ’s church in the world, serving our neighbors near and far. Our Redeemer is active in a host of social ministries in the La Crosse region, the US, and around the world through such agencies as Lutheran World Relief, ELCA World Hunger Appeal, and Lutheran Disaster Response. Locally, we support the good work of Mobile Meals, New Horizons Shelter/Outreach Center, LuMin Campus Ministry in La Crosse, Salvation Army Feed the Kids Program, the Warming Center, School Supplies for neighborhood schools, and WAFER food pantry.
“This is Christ’s church.
There is a place for you here.
We are the church that shares a living, daring confidence in God’s grace. Liberated by our faith, we embrace you as a whole person – questions, complexities, and all. Join us as we do
God’s work in Christ’s name
for the life of the world.” (elca.org)
