SUNDAY SCHOOL

OPPORTUNITIES FOR CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

Faith Formation at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church provides a variety of opportunities for spiritual growth and learning for all ages. From children to adults, we offer programs that nurture faith, deepen understanding of Scripture, and foster a sense of community. These educational opportunities help members grow in their relationship with God and one another, offering a holistic approach to Christian education through Bible study, service projects, and fellowship activities.

CHILDREN & YOUTH

Our church’s Children and Youth Ministry provides engaging and age-appropriate faith formation programs for young people. These programs are designed to nurture their spiritual development while fostering a sense of belonging within the church community. From Sunday School to special events, there are many opportunities for children and youth to explore their faith and grow closer to God.

Sunday School for Children of All Ages

Sunday School is offered for children of all ages at 10:30 a.m. every Sunday after a time of fellowship. This program helps children build a strong foundation in their Christian faith through Bible stories, songs, and activities. Teachers and volunteers guide children in understanding God's love and the message of the Gospel, encouraging them to develop a lifelong relationship with Jesus.

Christmas Program

The Christmas Program is a beloved annual tradition where children of the congregation come together to tell the story of Jesus' birth through music, drama, and narration. This event brings families and the church community together to celebrate the joy and meaning of the Christmas season in a meaningful and memorable way.

First communion conversations during lent

During Lent, Our Redeemer offers First Communion Conversations for children who are ready to participate in the sacrament of Holy Communion. These sessions provide an opportunity for children and their parents to learn about the significance of Communion in the Lutheran tradition, and prepare for the sacred moment of receiving the body and blood of Christ for the first time.

Affirmation of baptism (confirmation)

Affirmation of Baptism, also known as Confirmation, is offered to youth in grades 6-8. This program meets on Wednesday evenings at 6:15 p.m. in the newly updated Youth Room, where students explore the meaning of their baptism, learn about Lutheran theology, and dive deeper into the Bible. Through discussion, reflection, and service, youth affirm their commitment to the faith and grow in their relationship with God.
